SIR TRALALA
started a classical music-education including playing the violin at the age of 7,

got infected with rock`n`roll music, first serious studio experiences plus „rockband in front of audience“ experiences at Pubs, Bars and Biker-Meetings at an age of 14,

played Violin, Guitar, Bass and did the Vocals in different bands until moving to Vienna at an age of 19.

became part of a consuming Viennese Club-Culture and started to homerecord his own songs.

started to develop his own special electronically designed sound and composition techniques and to work for different music and multimedia art projects.

science at the experimental-electronic department at the university of performing arts and music Vienna

developed the character and stage identity Sir Tralala who messed up the local avandgarde scene and part of the european underground with his unique style of experimental electronic popmusic.

with his first album „Flying Objects they don`t have a Brain...“ (Niesom, 2005) he reached regular radio-stations and did gain attention of the so called mainstream-press (got voted „one of the 3 you must hear austrian music-productions 2005“, Der Standard).

his performances used to be described as anarchistic, weird and polarizing but it did calm down in the last years.

during the work on his new album „Escaping Dystopia“ (Seayou Records, 2009) Sir Tralala changed his style into a less psychedelic one and although the electronical sounddesign plays an important part, he did use more common instruments on it.
on this album, common songwriting and classical arrangement styles are outranking the club-track way of making music. you can even hear Influences of GlamRock, Soul, Hip-Hop and the Beatles and sometimes people associate it with scores for big Hollywood Movies.

beside his Sir Tralala Identity, the artist spends his time as musician and supporter for other people`s projects (live + on several records), tours around europe, writes, works as music and musicvideo producer, DJ and runs his own club evenings where he promotes the bands he likes.
